Since the first release of visualdarts (Version 1 through 1.0.8 )
The responses and sales have grown.
We have received many many requests for variations in the recording
of data in visualdarts that we have decided to go ahead with the mammoth
task of creating Visual Darts version2
(Orion) The new version will surprise every one,It will be capable of allowing the user to create their own game playing
format, any number of players and games and also keep the infi in a database.
You will be able to award
any points where for whatever feat you want plus much more like special plug ins.
The new version is scheduled to be released in 2008.
Visual Darts can keep complete records for years. It can keep
records and statistics for Hundreds of Dart Clubs each with Hundreds of members. Or
One Club with one team. Visual Darts can view and print reports from data gathered
on the fly.

With the release date of our new dart league recording program getting
closer we have found that terminology will play a big part in allowing users to
understand it. We will have default terminology but will also allow the user to
enter his own terminology for reports Ect.you would be amazed what people call
the same thing in darts.
Our New Program "ORION" has been three years in the making and has incorporated
all the unusual ways that different countries, states and Leagues record there
game and award points. If you have ever been looking for a dart League
program that will record the data and present it in reports they way you want
it, no matter the team size, look no further "ORION" HAS IT ALL
There is not a conceivable combination of scoring or point recording for the
game of darts (and cricket) that Orion cannot do. If in the very very unlikely
event a particular function is not there we can create a Plug-In
and post it as a .zip file. Just open the zip and click on the .exe and you have
the additional function.

Records the total of all the dart scores during the game.
Records Throws: throws may be calculated in two ways.
If 48 physical darts have been thrown to win game then. Enter 48 for throws in that field . That will automatically divide into the total score giving your average.
a): 1 dart = 1 throw.
(b): three darts per throw: each step up to throw line counts as one throw (three darts)
(b)so enter 16 for throws (=48 darts as above).this is played in parts of England and Australia.
Then average score divided by throws. Is automatically calculated.

Occurrences of 180. (plus points awarded per 180)
All points are aggregated at your choice, per player, per team , per week or month /year and printed in a report.
Number of times a player scores 180 in weekly game or year to date.
One hundred or more :
records times a player scores 100 or more during a game.(the actual score)
Personal highest score.
Personal highest score occurences
Records the highest team player score during the game.
Number of times a player scores their personal highest.
Times highest individual player peg. Weekly +year to date
Records the highest individual player peg during the game weekly +year to date
Note:
Treble games are 3 on 3 and are played when there are 6 players in each team
Visualdarts also caters for this.
Team peg
If a player gets the double in / double out for teams game (not played everywhere)
Treble peg
If a player gets the double in / double out for the trebles game
Double peg
If a player gets the double in / double out for the doubles game
Single peg
if a player gets the double in / double out for the singles game
Non win single peg
In some teams the best of three games is played. Therefore a player
May get a double out and still lose the game. The recording of this
'non win single peg' is required by some teams.
Records if player got highest team score.
Records if player got highest team peg.
Records if player gets the highest team double out (peg out) score.
All the players whether singularly or in a team can have their full stats called at any time
Weekly, monthly, yearly or from start of season to date, which lets say in this case is 17 weeks.
Apart from the stats you would expect, visualdarts gives you much much more.
You are given a free choice to award points to a player for various things they do in the game, for example.
Points
Lets say a team has six players.
after they have played their games for
the evening , their averages will range
from the top player to the lowest player.
You can award points for each position ie 6 points for the best and one(1) for the lowest.
Best of all you don't have to enter this data for each game , it is set in the maintenance at the beginning of the season and is then calculated automatically.
this is done with all visualdarts point awarding .
Points are awarded for 180's.
For double outs.double in
We have a variable point scoring which is used for cricket but can be utilised
for what ever you want.
Singles game (one player against another)
Doubles game (two players against two other players
Trebles game (three players against three other players
Or player groups larger than 3 on 3
5marks to 9marks (incl occurences and points awarded).
3 bulls (incl occurrences and points awarded).
4 - 5 bulls (incl occurrences and points awarded).
Triples 2 & 3 (incl occurrences and points awarded).
Allstar points 100-139, 140-174, 180 (incl occurrences And points awarded).
Game scores.
The all star points may be set by the user and the points awarded for the number of occurrences.
Points may be reset in the maintanence screen and all points to players are immediatly changed to the new .
